Catchment area (INSEE)Quatrax offers to its customers, access to the INSEE data, customized to companies’ projects. The geo-marketing use of INSEE data issued from the French population census permits to constitute the catchment area of all enterprise’s clients on the national territory. The catchment area gives information about local population structure which is attached to an outlet or a customer and it is considered as a predictor of buying behavior, sales, consumption and prescription. The main population criteria provided by the INSEE and retained by Quatrax are: • Number of inhabitants, • Population age structure, • Sex distribution • Social-professional categories • Marital status (married, single, etc..) • Habitat All these criteria are presented in a very thin geographical level, the IRIS, is related to a district or an urban area. ![]() Figure.
